a) What problems did Brazil and India face after independence?
There were many common problems that Brazil and India faced after independence. Some of them are:
management– The resources of both the countries were not properly utilized. A few leaders were involved in the mismanagement of the countries’ resources.
Corruption – This was another problem that affected the two nations to a considerable extent. It prevailed in different sections of the government and among government officials. A major reason for this was favoritism and nepotism.
Poverty– As with most developing countries, poverty loomed large and part of the population lived in extreme poverty.
Crime rate – This was increasingly high in both the countries.
b) How are Brazil and India different from each other in terms of location?
(i) India is located in the northern and eastern hemispheres of the Earth. It is located in the southern part of the Asian continent.
