Thallophyta is a division of the plant kingdom including primitive forms of plant life showing a simple plant body. Batra, Ulva, Chara, Ulothrix , Sargassum are the examples of Thallophyta.

Bryophytes consist of about 20,000 plant species. Bryophytes are an informal group consisting of three divisions of non-vascular land plants (embryophytes): the liverworts, hornworts and mosses. Polytrichum commune, Pleurozium schreberi, Dicranum scoparium, Taxiphyllum barbieri are the examples of Bryophytes.

A pteridophyte is a vascular plant (with xylem and phloem) that disperses spores. Azolla Pinnata, Marsilea Crenata, Salvinia Natans, Dicksonia Sellowiana are the examples of Pteridophyte.
