A particle of mass m1 = m moving with velocity 10\(\sqrt3\)m/s ˆ i collides with a particle of mass m2 = 2m at rest. After collision m1 comes to rest and m2 breaks into two equal parts such that one part has velocity 10 m/s ˆ j then find the angle the velocity vector of other part makes with x-axis in degrees.

Correct answer is 30

\(\vec p_f=\vec p_i\)

M × 10 \(\hat j\) + m\(\vec v\)= m × 10 \(\sqrt 3\hat i\)

\(\vec v=10\sqrt3 \hat i+10\hat j\)
