Factors required for the success of democracy in India are-

  1. Everyone’s opinion should be considered important in democratic government. Though majority opinion has a lot of importance in Democracy, opinions of minorities should also be included in the process of decision- making. Moreover all religious, linguistic, ethnic and caste groups should get equal opportunity to participate in the decision-making process.
  2. Judiciary Department should be more effective. To keep politics out of criminalisation Government should take important steps.Judiciary department should adopted measures like strict punishmentto criminals and prohibit criminals from participating in political process.
  3. It is the duty of all the citizens as well as government to take all the important measures and conscious effort to make the democracy successful. From the Government’s perspective SarvaShikshaAbhiyan, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Gram Samruddhi Yojana, Self-help Groups, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and such other projects are undertaken. To increase political participation of women, 50% seats are kept reserved in local self-governing institutions. Interaction with those who are not in power,the values of equality, liberty, social justice, secularism should be respected and implemented even in our personal life to make it successful.
  4. Participation of people at all levels is truly needed to make the democratic government successful.
