Find kinetic energy of 5 litre of a gas at S.T.P. given standard pressure is 1.013 × 105 N/m2

Given : P 1.013 x 105 N/m², V = 5 litres = 5 x 10-3 m

E = \(\frac32\) PV

= \(\frac32\) (1.013 x 105) (5 x 10-3)

= 7.5 x 1.013 x 102 J = 7.597 x 102 J

This is the required energy.
