There were many common problems that Brazil and India faced after independence. Some of them are:
management – The resources of both the countries were not properly utilized. A few leaders were involved in the mismanagement of the countries’ resources.
Corruption – This was another problem that affected the two nations to a considerable extent. It prevailed in different sections of the government and among government officials. A major reason for this was favoritism and nepotism.
Poverty – As with most developing countries, poverty loomed large and part of the population lived in extreme poverty.
Crime rate – This was increasingly high in both the countries.
